Pick up from your hotel in Chiang Mai and depart for Bua Tong Waterfall (Sticky Waterfall), located in the beautiful surroundings of Sri Lanna National Park, approximately one hour north of Chiang Mai.
Upon arrival, enjoy one of Chiang Mai’s most unique natural attractions. The waterfall is famous for its mineral-rich limestone surface, which creates a natural grip, allowing visitors to climb up the cascading falls barefoot without slipping. Spend time exploring the area, climbing the waterfall, and enjoying the refreshing natural environment.
Continue to Wat Ban Den (The Grand Blue Temple), one of the most remarkable temple complexes in Northern Thailand.
Wat Ban Den is renowned for its stunning Lanna-style architecture, vibrant blue and gold decorations, and peaceful atmosphere. The temple complex features numerous impressive structures, including the Ordination Hall, Viharn (Assembly Hall), Meditation Hall, Drum Tower, Monks’ Quarters, and twelve beautiful pagodas representing the twelve zodiac signs.
Visitors can also admire the enormous Buddha statues, intricate wood carvings, and the majestic Naga serpent staircases that guard many of the temple buildings. Throughout the grounds, large white Singha (lion) statues stand as traditional protectors of the temple.
Although many of the buildings are relatively modern, they have been constructed in a traditional Northern Thai architectural style, creating a truly impressive cultural and spiritual landmark.
